Chorus Speech
During this class, were were supposed to take on the information we learned about chorus speech last time and prepare a short speech applying these methods to it. I was in the same group with Bella, Lucy and Sophie and our piece was a Greek speech about love and passion. The piece itself was a bit long, so we only did two stanzas out of it. We started out the speech in unison and continued by saying one word each to create a sort of cannon. After that we continued in unison. Since the beginning of the piece especially was about love, we tried to use our voices so, that they would seem softer. We tried to use as much possible variety in our voices, so that it wouldn't sound too monotone and boring. We change our tone, when the piece start talking about warriors, to more harsh. At the end went back to cannon, with each member of the group saying one line at a time, doing our movement at the same time. Mine and Sophie's movement especially were planned to be cannon like, both twirling a bit.
